STEP 2: We Shoot!! (Woo hoo!)
STEP 3: After the session, within 1-2 weeks, I will send you an online gallery of images to choose from. There are 3 types of Image Collections for most sessions and the pricing is listed below. You must choose which image collection you want to purchase and then choose your images for the collection. You can then send a list to me via email at info@newheritagephoto.com.Â
STEP 4: After payment for the Image Collection is received, I will spend time retouching and color correcting each image. I will then send you the final retouched digital images in your Image Collection to you via a file transfer app called WeTransfer within 1-2 weeks. These can be downloaded directly to your computer or external hard drive. ( I always recommend saving them to at least two separate hard drives for safety). The images will arrive in high resolution and low resolution for all of your web and printing needs.

FREQUENTLY ASKED
Can I still book a shoot during the covid-19 pandemic?
As per the regulations of the Canton of Vaud, I am still operating my home studio and business with certain restrictions. For outdoor shoots, I maintain the required distance of 1.5 meters and wear a mask. Indoor studio shoots occur with a maximum of two adult subjects at a time. For example, individual head shot sessions, an expecting mother and her partner or two parents with their baby or children. I observe the guidelines for distancing of 1.5 meters and I wear a mask at all times. I recommend that subjects not eat in the studio when possible. I have an outdoor area for this. I also recommend we limit the indoor sessions to one hour.Â
When is the best time of day to schedule a shoot?
For outdoor photo shoots, I prefer to schedule for the “Golden Hour”. This is the most beautiful time of day when everything glows and harsh unwanted shadows disappear. Golden Hour is either sunrise or sunset. So depending on the season this could be 6 am or 8 am, 5 pm or 8 pm. Indoor shoots can be more flexible.Â
How do I choose and receive the photos for my image collection?
After our session together, I spend a significant amount of time adjusting and preparing your images. I upload everything to a private online gallery for you in SmugMug and send you the link. In the SmugMug gallery, you can choose your favorites by taking note of the file numbers. Then you can send me an email with your list and retouching requests. After finalizing and perfecting the final images for your collection, I send the the photos to you in high and low resolution via a WeTransfer link. There you can download to your computer or external hard drive.
Do you shoot weddings?
Yes! I have photographed many weddings. At this time, I am accepting wedding bookings on per-job basis. It depends on the size of the wedding and the budget. If you are planning a wedding and have questions about how I work, please send me an email- I am happy to chat with you!
Is it possible to schedule a shoot at my own house?
Yes, I am happy to come to you for portrait, maternity or newborn shoots. For the best photos, please note that it is necessary that you have a bright and clean home. Big windows are required and an outdoor space is a plus! If this is not the style of home you have, I offer sessions at my home studio which fits these requirements.
What size will the final images be when they are delivered?Â
I will send you two versions of each final image in your collection. One version is a “high resolution” Jpeg image. It is 300 DPI and several megabytes and is suitable for printing (promo material, large wall art and publications). The other version is a “low resolution” Jpeg image. It is 72 DPI and less than 1 MB. This version is suitable for web, email and social media use only. Low resolution images are not suitable for printing. I do not send RAW images.
Do you have a studio?
I have a studio set up in my home with professional studio lighting and backdrops. I welcome maternity, head shot and newborn clients. The studio features natural light, stylish furnishings and a variety of prop options. Additionally, I have a beautiful garden where I like to take fun and natural photos, especially during the Golden Hour.
